My fascination with combining various elements, furniture, trinkets, etc to support and enhance character in narrative storytelling parallels my impulse to combine materials and textures in my artwork. The combinations are not quite sculptural but help me illustrate what I perceive (or imagine!) beneath the surface of my subject. My toy box of art materials includes watercolours, acrylics, pencils, gold leaf, ink, thread and the odd found objects.
